CLUEDO FRANKLIN MINT EDITION (1996)

This can only be described as the CLUEDO Holy Grail :)

Some versions came with a pedestal but my version has just the board. But still, with two cats in the house it wasn't a very good idea to have a pedestal anyway.

The suspect cards are edged in gold and feature completely new Victorian versions of the main characters.

I have the English CLUEDO version rather than the American CLUE but strangely even the English version uses Mr. Green instead of our familiar mad Reverend!

The weapons are very small for this edition and gold plated.

I was very unlucky when I ordered this game through E-Bay as the dear old Post Office managed to do this to three of the weapons. :(

If anyone has any spares...please let me know!!!

The rooms are sunken into the glass topped board and each room has a gold plated item of furniture within.

Instead of a murder card envelope, this version has a book with a removable lid in which you place the three cards.

The pawns are also gold plated and have a coloured band around the bottom to indicate the character.

The three unscathed weapons are the rope, dagger and revolver, though since starting this page, I have taken the weapons out of the storage drawer and the trigger of the revolver has broken off...it's a very fragile set. Just hope the rope and the dagger can survive!!!

It really is a beautiful set but should not be played with to keep it in mint condition. Unfortunately, I have played it three times so am keeping an eye on the two remaining weapons.

There is a drawer in one side of the board for storing the weapons and pawns.

And, finally, just a couple of closer views. Not all that good because I cannot get a decent picture through the glass.
