This is how the original full CLUEDO box looked on its release in 1949 until the more common box that appeared in 1965, although a smaller black box with a separate board was the actual first release. Strange how the early CLUEDO and CLUE's came in small boxes with the board separate. Obviously no one in those days had heard of a quad fold board!
All the original cards can be seen on the classic 1965 edition page.
No one ever found out what a Sherlock Holmes character had to do with CLUEDO but it was a great box.
This version and the earlier small box version introduced the classic "blueprint" style game board that lasted through to 1996.
More information on this game can be found on the 1965 edition page.
